Last updated: June 1, 2025  |  Version 2.0

1. Introduction

This Payment Gateway Terms & Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the payment processing services integrated into the Nyaya Siddhanta platform. By initiating any payment transaction on our platform, you agree to be bound by this Agreement in addition to our general Terms & Conditions and Payment Terms.

Nyaya Siddhanta uses authorised, PCI-DSS certified third-party payment gateway service providers to process all payment transactions. The active payment gateway in use is displayed on the checkout page at the time of your transaction.

2. Payment Gateway

  • All payments are processed through authorised third-party payment gateway service providers.
  • The payment gateway partner is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
  • Applicable Regulations: Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007; RBI Guidelines on Payment Aggregators and Payment Gateways (March 2020).

3. Accepted Payment Instruments

  • Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay (domestic & international)
  • Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay
  • Net Banking: All major Indian banks
  • UPI: All UPI-enabled apps
  • Digital Wallets: All major digital wallets supported by the active gateway
  • EMI: No-cost and standard EMI on select credit cards (subject to bank eligibility)

4. Transaction Security

  • All transactions are processed over 256-bit SSL/TLS encrypted connections.
  • Nyaya Siddhanta does not store your complete card number, CVV, or banking credentials on our servers at any point.
  • Card data is tokenised and handled exclusively by our payment gateway partner's PCI-DSS certified infrastructure.
  • Transactions are protected by 3D Secure (3DS) authentication where applicable.
  • UPI transactions are authenticated via your UPI PIN on your registered device.

5. Transaction Processing

  • Payments are processed in real time; your service is activated immediately upon successful payment confirmation.
  • A payment confirmation will be sent to your registered email address within minutes of a successful transaction.
  • In the event of a payment failure, no amount is debited from your account. If a debit occurs without service activation, it will be automatically reversed within 5–7 business days.
  • Nyaya Siddhanta reserves the right to decline any transaction at its discretion for fraud prevention or compliance reasons.

6. Currency & Pricing

  • All transactions are processed in Indian Rupees (INR).
  • Prices displayed are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • For international cards, your card issuer may apply foreign transaction fees or currency conversion charges — these are outside our control.
  • GST invoices are generated automatically and available in your account dashboard within 24 hours of a successful transaction.

7. Payment Failures & Pending Transactions

  • If your payment fails at the gateway, you will be redirected to a failure page with the reason (where available).
  • Common reasons for failure: insufficient funds, incorrect OTP, card blocked, bank server timeout.
  • If your bank account is debited but the payment is not confirmed on our platform, please wait up to 24 hours — most such transactions are auto-reversed by the bank.
  • If the amount is not reversed within 5 business days, contact us at billing@nyayasiddhanta.com with your transaction reference number.

8. Refunds via Payment Gateway

  • Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment instrument used for the transaction.
  • Refunds are initiated by Nyaya Siddhanta through the payment gateway within 5–7 business days of approval.
  • Credit/Debit card refunds: 5–7 business days after initiation.
  • Net Banking refunds: 3–5 business days.
  • UPI refunds: 1–3 business days.
  • Wallet refunds: 1–2 business days.
  • Cash refunds or refunds to a different payment instrument are not possible.
  • Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for eligibility criteria.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

  • Before raising a chargeback, we strongly encourage you to contact us at billing@nyayasiddhanta.com — most disputes can be resolved within 48 hours.
  • Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension and recovery proceedings.
  • Chargeback resolution timelines are governed by your card network and are typically 30–45 days.
