Subject: Revised Code of Conduct for Legal Researchers & Interns

This circular sets out the revised Code of Conduct applicable to all legal researchers and interns engaged with Nyaya Siddhanta.

1. Confidentiality

All case-related information, client data, and internal communications are strictly confidential. Sharing, copying, or discussing matter details with unauthorised persons is a serious breach and will result in immediate termination.

2. Attribution & Authorship

Research notes, legal memos, and draft pleadings prepared by researchers and interns remain the intellectual property of Nyaya Siddhanta. No external publication or citation is permitted without written authorisation.

3. Reporting Structure

All researchers and interns report to the Senior Associate assigned to the matter. Daily task updates must be logged in the internal case management system.

4. Work Hours & Leave

  • Minimum 6 hours per day (or as specified in the engagement letter)
  • Leave requests require 48 hours’ notice, approved by the supervising associate
  • Absenteeism without prior intimation for 3 consecutive days may result in termination

5. Compliance

Any violation of this Code of Conduct will be dealt with under the organisation’s disciplinary policy and may result in termination of engagement.
